No Game No Life: 3.5/5 Recommended
Hello guys!
Today i'll talk about an animefrom 2014 titled "No game no life" (as you should probably have already understood from the image).
What if you were a gamer or, what if you were THE best gamer in the world and at a certain point someone that calls himself "The only true god" (Tet) offered you a new life in a world which revolves around games? Would you accept?
If you wouldn't, this anime is not the one for you.
If you would have accepted, follow me!
So, "No game no life", is it worth it?
Let's play
In this anime we don't have one, but two protagonists: Sora and Shiro. They're the best pleyers ever in the "real world", but no one knows them by sight. Gamers call them the "Without-name".
Turn of events (not sure if in this case is better plot twists) in this anime are so many that at the end they actually lose their effect.
Sora and Shiro move armonically and smoothly alog with the plot and you can even find a scheme (this is not a good thing, at all):
1) Sora and Shiro challenge someone from another country
2) They bet something crazy (their lives, their souls, their underwear ecc....)
3) They start the game and when are about to lose....
4) They actually lose!
5) The fourth point was actually a troll...
4) Turn of events!
5) They win, revealing a super-complex plan
The plot sucks what is very cool is the background, but why?
A) We have 16 races ranked by something like a sentient leaderboard
B) There is a strange god that apparently doesen't give a damn about this world, but at the same time made some rules to let it stay in peace. His only desire is to be defeated by someone in a game
C) A SSS-mark fantsy world where there are some frames made only with landscape and those shots are so freaking incredible
So, in conclusion?
It's a cool anime because of its setting and background, but first of all there is a whole of a difference between the protagonists and their enemies, the inhabitants of this world (WHICH TRADITION ARE GAMES) seem idiots. Lastly, as I already said, the plot is not as good as i initially thought because of the recurring scheme.
Hope you enjoied
