Re: Zero (restart life in a new world from zero): 4.5/5 Recommended
Hello everybody and welcome
to this first review!

I apologise if my english
sucks owo <- this is a smile
Ok without wasting anymore
time let’s get started!
Re:Zero (restart life in a new world from zero) was a manga series published in 2014 and has had an anime adaptation just this year and it’s about a guy, Subaru Natsuki, that suddenly finds himself in a new and strange world where makes acquaintance with a very beautiful girl, silver-haired half-elf, and he will try to help her in spite of the difficulties.
Big question:
Is it worth it?
The anime series is pretty
long 24 episodes, I didn’t find it too big of a deal, but you should
keep it in mind.
WARNING: The review WILL contain SPOILERS so who
hadn’t already watched the anime should not read the BOLD parts
tks!
The carachters…
Well… The most important
carachter is obviously Subaru he’s also the most interesting, I mean…
Let’s start by saying that he
is not the typical ultra-badass-withoutesitations-withsupercoolabilities
carachter, he is a normal person in fact he:
-Is not a swordman
-Cannot use magical powers
(apart from a dark fog magic
that he will use several times along the plot but it will not have any effect)
-Cannot fly or stuff like
that
BUT he has a peculiarity,
he can use the “return from death” a special ability that is explained by her
own name. What i think it’s very important about him is the fact that seems a
real human, at a certain
moment he fails so many times that decides to give up or to escape from his
duties. The analysis of his psyche along the plot is amazingly accurate.
Let’s talk now about the
carachter that in my point of view is the one that carryes along the plot: Rem, the blue-haired and cute
maid, has an enormous weight on the psyche of the protagonist, she i salso one
of the most active carachters because she will accompain Subaru wherever
he will go so… Lots of adventures will be waiting her…
Ok let’s move on
I absolutely loved the
setting of the anime because it was “natural” there was enough interaction with
minor carachters and the cities were wonderful.
An aspect that made me
think was the fact that even if the society that was proposed was inhabited by
strange creatures that weren’t men, the ways of thinking, the ways of acting and
even structure of the society was the same as ours in fact rich people
lived in the capital or had feuds in the surroundings of the city and poor people inhabited the worst part of the city and in order to survive they became stealers or murderers.
The plot was pretty good, turn
of events were absolutely stunning but i didn’t like the depressing part from
episode 11 to 14 (more or less, i'm not sure of the number of the episodes); Subaru is going through all sorts… I think it’s too much and
i heard of people that stopped watching Re:Zero because of this heaviness.
Now let’s talk about things
that i’m concerned with:
-There are some moments that are so depressing that people stop watching the series and it's a shame…
-Sometimes Subaru doesen’t
use the “return from death” to retry things that went bad.
-The end…. Why none can
create a decent end for a cartoon?!? I mean…
Subaru <<I love you Emilia when we first met i felt that my
heartbeat stopped (and this is actually what happened)>>
Emilia <<Mh cool…>>
S. <<I love you from the bottom of my heart, i would kick the ass
of a white flyin’ whale for you, i would be kick-assed from a pink-haired guy
for you… I would get killed for you>>
E. <<But i do not>>
S. <<But you’ll have a lot of time to fall in love with me>>
S. <<But you’ll have a lot of time to fall in love with me>>
[Laugh]
Ending theme
My reaction was like..
Conclusion is it worth it
or not?
Well… It’s a personal
choice obviously BUT I would recommend this anime because apart form some
things that i didn’t (personally or not) like, it was great:
-Good choice for the
carachters, well designed
-Fantastic setting
-Decent plot also if there were
some things that could have been better…
Hope you guys enjoyed, hope
my english didn’t suck as much as I thought…. In something like a week i’ll
publish the review of “No game no life”
See ya nextime Owo
