Hi guys today i’ll talk about something very interesting
“Porter Robinson”
Have you ever seen this name anywhere (on the net; on youtube
principally)?
If not you should click the link down below in order to check out his
latest video
If you have already watched
it take a look at this video by Gigguk
Shelter:
Some people don’t like it (though,
to be honest, it was difficult to find them). The reasons were pretty different
from person to person.
Here is what i think:
The music, the main/most
important part of the video becomes nothing more than a background sound
because the attention of the watcher is all focused on the video that was, in
my opinion, what made this song go viral.
So, let’s talk a little about
it shall we?
The video is about a girl who
lives inside a world that she can reprogram with her super-tecnologically-advanced
drawing tablet and, fortunately for her, even though her drawing skills suck,
the world still looks fucking perfect.

Here is an example of her drawing abilities |
Apart from this i think there
is not a story until the minute 2:29 (more or less), not because the video is
not good or something like that, but because until that moment the girl is
showing us what she can do with her tablet in her lonely world.
Loneliness…
It’s the main theme of the
song. Because of this we can continue crying until we die dehydrated and here
comes in the song (a strange dubstep song, very ripetitive, that helps the
video conveying this sad emotions).
The plot ends with her
discovering that she is alone in a spaceship connected to a strange machine
that keeps her alive.
Well fuck… I could kill
myself…
Conclusion: i heard rumors (i
hope they are wrong) that said that someone wanted to create an anime series
based on this video.
For or Against it?
Well that’s not so easy to say,
I would be very excited and at the same time I would understand that “Shelter”
lost its uniqueness: in 6 minutes they expressed a lot of emotions
(sadness, loneliness, happiness…) and in order to achieve this level of
expression they utilized every frame they had (in fact the end result is
amazing).
In two-three days i'll publish the review of "No game no life" stay tuned for that! (it was a fucking nightmare publish this post :D )
Hope you found this interesting
See ya nextime Owo
